EMCO Meter Run with Transmitter Flanges for Compact Mounting, Type CompaQ

Description

The CompaQ meter run is used as primary element in flow measurement of liquid, gas and steam according to the differential pressure principle. The differential pressure transmitter and 3 way manifold valve is mounted directly on the CompaQ ensuring an faster and more safe installation on site. The straight pipe run requirements for optimal accuracy are met with this design.

Installation

To ensure accuracy, the CompaQ meter run should be kept clean and protected against corrosion. Installation requires it to be fitted between straight pipes without obstructions, with specific minimum straight lengths based on beta values. Full bore valves are recommended upstream. For gas applications, the differential pressure transmitter should be installed above the meter run, while for liquid, it should be installed underneath. The bevelled side of the orifice plate is the downstream side. The CompaQ requires no special maintenance but needs to maintain a sharp orifice edge and be free from deposits. Compliance with ISO 5167 and other standards is essential for quality assurance.
