
The EPSISTEEM flow meter is a compact orifice meter designed according to the differential pressure principle and is used for flow measurement of saturated and superheated steam. It is especially designed for installations with limited space due to the flow conditioning effect created by the 5-hole construction. This means that upstream in the straight pipe run, the flow meter can be reduced from 20 times inner pipe diameter to 5 times inner pipe diameter, which is crucial with limited space available.
The EPSISTEEM flow meter is backed by international standards covering both flow calculation, manufacturing tolerances, accuracy and installation requirements. It is suitable for application within process industries, pharmaceuticals and the power industry. Choose model ES1, ES3 or ES5 depending on your need for integration of manifold valves.

Model ES1
The EPSISTEEM flow meter model ES3 consists of a primary element based
on the differential pressure principle with an all welded integrated condensing pot
arrangement, with transmitter mounting flange and the possibility to mount a 3 valve double flanged manifold
Model ES2
The EPSISTEEM flow meter model ES2 consists of a primary element based on the differential pressure principle, an all welded construction with integrated condensing pot arragement with an integrated 3 valve manifold
Model ES5
The EPSISTEEM flow meter model ES2 consists of a primary element based on the differential pressure principle, an all welded construction with integrated condensing pot arragement with an integrated 5 valve manifold
The EPSISTEEM flow meter can be mounted in a horizontal or vertical pipe. The condensing pot arrangement shall be mounted horizontally with the
outlet pointing downwards. To insure high accuracy of measurement, long straight pipe runs upstream from the flow meter is necessary. The required straight pipe run depends on the disturbance upstream. To maintain the 1,2% accuracy the minimum straight pipe run upstream shall be 14 x inner pipe diameter and 6 x downstream. If an additional inaccuracy of ½ % is acceptable the required straight pipe runs are reduced to half of the above values. Mass flow measurement of saturated steam is obtainable using EPSISTEEM with a multi variable differential pressure transmitter.
